Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, MacCleaner is completely safe. All files are moved to Trash (not permanently deleted), so you can restore anything if needed. We also follow Apple's sandbox requirements and never access system files.

How much space can I recover?

Results vary by usage patterns. Most users recover 10-50 GB on their first scan. System Data cleanup can free up 5-20 GB alone.

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

Free users can delete up to 5 items per month. Premium members get unlimited deletions, System Data cleanup, large file finder, and priority support.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

What macOS versions are supported?

MacCleaner requires macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later. We recommend macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) for the best experience.

All files are moved to Trash, not permanently deleted. Open Finder → Go → Trash, find your files, right-click and select "Put Back".

Why do I need to grant permissions?

MacCleaner needs Full Disk Access to scan certain folders like Application Support and Caches. This is a macOS security feature that keeps your data safe.
