1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MacCleaner, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our software.

2. License Grant

MacCleaner grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

  • Free Plan: Limited to 5 deletions per month
  • Premium Plan: Unlimited deletions, all features
  • Lifetime Plan: Perpetual license, family sharing for up to 5 Macs

3. Permitted Use

You may use MacCleaner to:

  • Clean junk files and optimize storage on your Mac
  • Find and remove large files
  • Clear system data and caches
  • Scan your system for cleanup opportunities

4. Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Remove or modify any copyright notices
  • Distribute, rent, lease, or sell the software
  • Use the software for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to bypass premium features or subscription checks
  • Use the software to harm others or their systems

5. Subscription Terms

Premium Monthly: $9.99/month, billed monthly. Cancel anytime.

Lifetime: $49.99 one-time payment. Includes lifetime updates and family sharing.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • Price changes will be notified 30 days in advance
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of current billing period

6. Data Backup Responsibility

Important: While MacCleaner moves files to Trash (allowing recovery), you are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We recommend Time Machine or another backup solution before using any cleaning tool.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

MacCleaner is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Specific performance improvements
  • Compatibility with all Mac configurations
  • Complete accuracy in file detection

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacCleaner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the software in the past 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MacCleaner from any claims arising from your use of the software or violation of these terms.

10. Updates and Modifications

We may update MacCleaner at any time. Updates may include new features, bug fixes, or security patches. You are responsible for installing updates to maintain security and functionality.

11. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

  • You must stop using the software
  • Delete all copies from your devices
  • No refunds will be provided for rule violations

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where MacCleaner is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of MacCleaner after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
